Postgraduate Certificate applicants must hold a minimum Lower Second Class (2.2) Honours degree. In exceptional circumstances candidates who do not have first degree, but who can demonstrate professional competence, may be admitted.

The deadline to apply  for a campus based course is the 15 th of August 2013 and for a distance learning course is the 15th of January 2014 (for entry in March 2013 please contact the Schoool of Law directly). Please note that a campus based Postgraduate Certificate in Health Care Law begins in September and the same course by distance learning begins in March. We strongly advise that you apply as soon as possible in order to be guaranteed a place on the course. However, we will consider late applications for the course if there is any available space. Therefore, please feel free to contact us after the deadline.

Course description:
The Postgraduate Certificate in Health Care Law programme aims to provide the highest quality of training in health care law in a flexible and interdisciplinary way.  There is an emphasis on the application of legal theory to real world scenarios, thus catering to the practical needs of health care and legal professionals and those in related fields.  Students gain an expert knowledge and understanding of medico-legal theories, and the skills needed to apply them to real world scenarios in a diverse range of contexts.
Fees

For entry in the academic year beginning September 2013, the tuition fees are as follows:
PGCert (full-time)
UK/EU students (per annum): £2,100
International students (per annum): £4,330
PGCert (part-time distance learning)
UK/EU students: £1,050 per annum
International students: £2,165 per annum

The fees quoted above will be fully inclusive for the course tuition, administration and computational costs during your studies.

All fees for entry will be subject to yearly review and incremental rises per annum are also likely over the duration of courses lasting more than a year for the campus based UK/EU students (fees are typically fixed for International students and for students studying our course by distance learning , for the course duration at the year of entry).
