The scholarship is to provide financial assistance to students who, because of their financial circumstances, might otherwise be unable to complete their program.
The scholarship is open to students who -
a. are enrolled in the 2nd year of a program in the broad field of agricultural science; and
b. can demonstrate financial hardship.
The scholarship is awarded to the applicant showing greatest merit as demonstrated by -
c. academic achievement in courses undertaken in the 1st year of the program; and
d. financial circumstances as evidenced by supporting documentation.
The recipient may hold the scholarship for the minimum period of time it would take the recipient to complete the program, subject to the recipient -
e. continuing to be enrolled full-time in the program in which the recipient was enrolled when awarded the scholarship; and
f. passing all courses undertaken each semester.
