General requirements for undergraduate courses
Two year diplomas from intermediate or higher institutions are generally considered to be equivalent to BTEC national Diploma Standard and as such are generally accepted for entry onto undergraduate courses in related areas.

Candidates with the Thanaweya A'ama/Al Azhar general secondary school certificate will be required to follow the international foundation course.
General requirements for postgraduate/research courses

Egyptian first degrees at "very good" level or with a grade of 75 are generally accepted for entry onto our masters programmes.

Egyptian masters degrees are generally accepted for PhD entry at The University of Manchester.
English language requirements

English Language requirements vary by course and department but are usually the equivalent of IELTS 6.0 - 7.5.

Some departments ask that the appropriate score has been met before you apply for a course, whilst other departments give conditional offers subject to applicants achieving our general entry requirement level of English Language proficiency before starting the course.
Other entry requirements
