General requirements for undergraduate courses

Entry requirements will vary from course to course and will be based upon the standard UK requirements.

We ask for successful completion of the UCE (including English at grade 4) plus Ugandan A-levels. Please see the course listings for our standard A-Level offer.
General requirements for postgraduate/research courses

Specific requirements vary by discipline and academic School. Applications are considered on a case-by-case basis by academic selectors.

A minimum of an Honours Upper (IIi) or GPA of more than 3.6 from a recognised Ugandan university is generally required for most of our Masters programmes.

For PhD programmes a Masters degree is also required.
English language requirements

In general we require an English grade of 4 in UCE to satisfy the general English Language criteria. Some courses, however, may require a higher grade.

Some departments ask that the appropriate score has been met before you apply for a course whilst other departments give conditional offers subject to applicants achieving our general entry requirement level of English language proficiency before starting the course.
Other entry requirements

Please note that this is generic information only. Faculties and Schools have different entry requirements and some qualifications may not be acceptable for certain courses, so it is important to check with the School directly before you apply.

Some courses have additional entry requirements such as previous work experience, submission of written work with the application or previous study of a particular subject.
