Target group: Texas residents
For the 2013-14 academic year, TG's Charley Wootan Grant program awarded $5 million in grants to students who are Texas residents. Grants are split between students attending 2-year colleges or vocational schools and students attending 4-year universities.

The first-come, first-served, need-based grant program provides up to $4,000 per successful applicant for the 2013-14 academic year.

To be eligible, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and meet other eligibility requirements.

Applicants must be high school seniors or graduates who plan to enroll, or students already enrolled, at least half-time, in an undergraduate course of study for fall 2013 at a Title IV, two- or four-year college or university, or vocational-technical school, must demonstrate financial need, and be eligible to receive Title IV federal financial aid funding.
