The College of Nursing awards over $100,000 in student scholarships every year.
Scholarship criteria vary, some funds are merit-based and others are need-based.
One application serves to apply for all scholarships.
Students admitted to the nursing undergraduate program may apply by submitting an Undergraduate Scholarship Application. Materials must be turned in to the Nursing Student Services office in 2150 Health Sciences Building no later than February 15. The scholarship application can be found at on the College’s website at www.nursing.ecu.edu/under_aid.htm.
Important notes:
Awards will be made as scholarship credit to the student's account with the Cashier's Office.
Awards are made for fall and spring semesters. One-half of amount will be credited in the fall and the remainder will be credited in the spring.
All scholarship criteria (e.g. GPA, residency, etc.) must be maintained throughout the academic year in order to receive the second installment.
Number of annual awards and value of each award is subject to change based on current market conditions.
Dorothy Marshall Cummings Scholarship – Awarded to a full or part-time student.
First preference should be based on need. Preference will be given to those students who show an interest in a career in maternal/child health.
